Golden Ratio

Often referred to as the divine proportion is number often encountered when taking the ratios of distances in certain geometrical figures.  If you divide a line into two parts so that the longer part divided by the smaller part is also equal to the whole length divided by the longer part
then you will have the golden ratio.  This ratio is often used in order to create perspective in paintings, sculptures, and building like the one you see here.
